were hilarious! Just got home from the show. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. I think my favorite parts were the Yo-Yo Man and a clip from one of their tv shows from the '60s. It went something like this...
"You know, you can tell who is running the country by how much clothing they wear."
"Really? How do you tell?"
"Well, the normal people, like you and me, they don't wear so much, so they're the less-ons"
"And the people who are running the country?"
"They're the morons."

I Won! I Won!

I was listening to the local country radio station today on my way to La Crosse and the DJs (a guy and gal) started talking about a give away. You had to be the first caller to identify a sound and you would win tickets to a show up in the Wisconsin Dells. The Smothers Brothers are doing 1 show tomorrow night. And I won 6 tickets. The sound I had to identify? The transporter from Star Trek. I was the first caller. Yeah for me! Now, I've been trying since 11 o'clock this morning to find 2 other couples to come with us. Do you think I can find anyone? Noooo. Apparently we don't have a large enough pool of friends to find anyone to go with us. I had a bunch of "we'd love to buts...." I hate to waste the tickets, even if they are free. Oh, well. Richard and I will go by ourselves and enjoy some time without kids. Which we don't get much of. My father-in-law with stay with the boys, and have to put them to bed. That in and of itself would be interesting to see. Hopefully they aren't still up by the time we get home, which will probably be close to 11 pm, since its almost an hour to WI Dells. I'm guessing the show will be about 2 hours, and since it starts at 8:00, it'll get over about 10 and then an hour drive home. I'll have to give a review of the show on Saturday.

One other thing I have to comment on regarding our trip tomorrow. Around here I hear people say that they're going up to "the Dells". Ok, the name of the town is Wisconsin Dells. I've also heard people say that they're going up to "the Wisconsin Dells". It shouldn't be "the" anything. It should be "we're going to Wisconsin Dells". But that's just me being picky. Would you ever hear anyone say, "we're going to the Dallas"? No. Maybe "the Dallas area". But I digress.
